Terms of Service

Last updated: September 14, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tournament Bot ("the bot") and its web control panel (together, "the Service"). By adding the bot to a Discord server, registering for a tournament through it, or logging into the web panel, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service does

The Service is a Discord bot and companion web panel for running community tournaments: organizers create and publish tournament announcements, participants register via Join/Leave buttons or slash commands, and the Service tracks slot counts, sends reminder DMs, and can sync team counts from a linked Matcherino tournament.

2. Discord's own terms still apply

The Service operates entirely on top of Discord. Your use of Discord itself remains subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Nothing here overrides those.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, spam, or impersonate others.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond what's needed for normal use.
  • Use the Service for anything illegal under the laws that apply to you.
  • Register for a tournament under false pretenses or manipulate slot counts through means other than the provided Join/Leave flow.

4. Organizer responsibilities

If you use the web panel to create and publish tournaments, you're responsible for the accuracy of the content you publish (rules, prizes, links) and for actually running the tournament you announce. The Service is a scheduling and announcement tool — it doesn't guarantee, insure, or adjudicate prizes, and any prize pool figure pulled from a linked Matcherino tournament reflects Matcherino's own data, not a promise made by the Service.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the bot will be available at all times, that reminders will always arrive on schedule, or that third-party data (Matcherino team counts and prize pools, AI-generated descriptions) will always be accurate or up to date.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service's operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed tournaments, lost prizes, or disputes between organizers and participants.

7. Termination

We may remove the bot from a server, suspend a web panel account, or restrict access if these Terms are violated. Server admins can remove the bot from their own server at any time through Discord's normal "Kick"/"Remove App" flow.

8. Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change, the "Last updated" date at the top will change accordingly. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
